The Bowling team, led by Daniel Lee and Melissa Lee, will be competing in the 19th National Schools Tenpin Bowling Championship 2012. Their team captain has the following to say:
For the past 4 months, we have been tirelessly training for our 'A' divisions which will be taking place from 24th April to 3rd May. Although we will be facing many power houses, we promise to give our all and never waiver in our fight for CJ and we will try our hardest to retain the seeded positions we managed to attain for both the boys and girls team last year. The bowling team would also like to express our gratitude towards our teachers: Ms Audrey Lioe, Mr William Seah, Ms Joyce Tan and our coaches Denny and Ken for their undying support in us.
The Ablaze team also conducted a short interview with Melissa and Daniel: Q: How are you feeling about the upcoming season? A: In our upcoming games, we will be facing opponents who are both experienced and competent at the sport. Despite our nervousness, we are very honored to be able to represent CJC and will definitely put in our best effort to ensure that we can do our school proud. Q: What are your goals for this season? A: This year, our team hopes to maintain our place at the seeded squad which was a feat accomplished by our seniors last year. We would also fight hard to push our position up the seeded placing. Q: What do you hope to gain as a team at the end of this season? A: As a team, we will take this opportunity to strengthen our bonds with each other. We hope that even after the season, our team will still be united by our experiences and help each other to pull through to the end of our school year. Q: What do you wish from the student body in terms of support? A: Our competition is scheduled very near to the mid-years and we understand that many of our peers are not able to be there to support us physically. Our team just wishes for words of encouragement and well wishes that will boost our confidence and help us bowl to the best of our ability. All the best in your upcoming competitions, Tenpin Bowling! Your opponents won't know what struck them!
