149 donors and 447 lives saved!

On the 11th and 12th of July, droves of CJCians made their way down to the Auditorium Extension to donate blood. On the first day alone, a total of 84 donors gave the gift of life! Many more CJCians attempted to donate blood but unfortunately, were deferred. Still, let us give these individuals a round of applause for their courage for making the decision to come for the Blood Donation Drive. CJC don't just stop here! Do bear in mind that every hour of the day, 15 units of blood are used in Singapore. HSA need to collect at least 350 units a day, as a whopping 100,000 units are needed in a year, just to meet the transfusion needs of patients in Singapore! So, successful donors, recuperate for 8-12 weeks before donating again and unsuccessful donors, do not give up! Here is a link to locate the blood bank most convenient for you!
